Leighton State Bank is excited to announce that a building permit has been issued for a full-service banking facility at 209 South Lincoln. This news follows the conditional approval of the site plan during the Knoxville City Council meeting on Monday, August 19.
The new 3,750-square-foot building will replace the current branch on the Knoxville square and will feature drive-up lanes, an outdoor 24-hour ATM, and safe deposit boxes.

A highly functional and convenient new facility was our dream and plan when we announced the bank’s expansion to Knoxville in 2023. A formal groundbreaking ceremony is expected to take place during the week of August 26. Construction will continue through spring and early summer of next year, with a grand opening planned for the summer of 2025.
