LSB Gives Back

Leighton State Bank believes that an essential role of being a community bank is giving back. That’s why you see LSB employees volunteering at many local events, including Leighton’s 4th of July festivities, the Monroe Old Settlers celebration, Pella’s Tulip Time, and Thursdays in Pella. We also spend many hours each year developing and presenting educational events for school-aged children, including our popular “Teach a Child to Save” presentation.

Volunteer Time Off

At this year’s annual LSB employee training day, the theme was “Make a Difference.” We announced several new initiatives that will help LSB staff make their communities a better place to live, including our new ‘Volunteer Time Off’ policy. We’re excited that this policy will encourage employees to spend time volunteering with organizations they value during their regular workweek.

Employee-Directed Giving

Another exciting update in 2020 is the employee anniversary donation program. Each year, Leighton State Bank donates to nearly 100 local causes. New this year, each employee will get to direct a donation to an organization of their choice to celebrate their work anniversary. LSB is honored to make these donations on behalf of our employees, and we’re excited to see the diversity of organizations and causes that our employees choose.
